What is a Silent Gliss motorised system?

A Silent Gliss motorised system opens and closes your curtains and roller blinds at the push of a button or on a timer, so heavy and high curtains and blinds need no manual work. Promolink fits motorised curtain tracks and roller blinds, run by a controller or timer and made to fit windows of any size.

Why choose a motorised system?

Manual curtains are hard work when they run more than 10 metres long or many metres high. A motor also lets you set a timer, so you come home to a cool house at night, and Silent Gliss electric tracks can be run from a switch, a remote, the Move app, or a home control or building management system.

How wide and heavy can a motorised curtain be?

The Silent Gliss SG 5600 electric track takes runs up to 25 metres and curtains up to 65 kg, two separate limits: the 65 kg holds on a straight 10-metre run, and a 25-metre run carries up to 40 kg. The smaller SG 5100 takes runs up to 9 metres and curtains up to 30 kg (28 kg on a full 9-metre run). See Electric Curtain Track Systems.

Can motorised curtains and blinds run on a timer?

Yes. Push the button or set the timer, and the motor opens and closes your curtains or blinds for you, so the room can be shaded before you get home.

Do motorised roller blinds stop safely?

Yes. Silent Gliss motorised roller blinds run virtually silently, with programmable intermediate stops and a built-in safety stop if the movement is interrupted.

Are motorised curtains worth it?
