Its fabrics are sewn by in-house specialists and fitted to premium curtain tracks, so curtains and tracks are specified, made and delivered from one place. More on the About Us page.

Promolink has supplied curtains and blinds since 1998. Its curtains and tracks are made for homes, hotels, offices and public spaces, and customers reviewing it on this site include The International Modern Arabic School (IMAS) KL and Nippon Paint (Malaysia), a customer since 2014. Through Promolink, which describes itself as the sole gateway to Silent Gliss in Malaysia. Promolink supplies Silent Gliss manual and motorised curtain tracks and blinds, including the Wave curtain system, from the first technical consultation to local installation. Promolink lists Silent Gliss curtain systems (Wave, Metropole, and cubicle and room divider tracks), roller, dim-out, panel glide, Roman, vertical, pleated and Venetian blinds, and skylight shading. Most come in manual and electric versions, and some also run on battery, chain or spring. Each system has its own page under Exclusive Product.

A Wave curtain, also called an S-fold or ripple fold curtain, hangs in even S-shaped folds for a sleek, modern look. On the Silent Gliss Wave system a glider cord inside the track sets how far the fabric spreads, so the curtain stacks neatly when open and falls in a continuous wave when closed. A motorised (electric) curtain system opens and closes your curtains or roller blinds with a motor, so you press a button or set a timer instead of pulling them by hand. Promolink fits Silent Gliss motorised curtain tracks and roller blinds made to the size of your windows. See Silent Gliss Motorised system.

Motorised curtains make most sense for heavy, very tall or very wide curtains and for windows that are hard to reach. Curtains spanning more than 10 metres are hard work to pull by hand, and a timer can close them before you get home so the house stays cool. Electric tracks also suit AV and conference rooms. Silent Gliss electric curtain tracks can be run from a wall switch, a remote control, the Silent Gliss Move app, or a home control or building management system. You can also set a timer so they open and close on their own. See Electric Curtain Track Systems.

Up to 65 kg and 25 m wide, on the Silent Gliss SG 5600 electric track. The smaller SG 5100 motor carries curtains up to 30 kg and 9 m wide. Both work with Wave curtains. Full specifications are on the Electric Curtain Track Systems page.

No. Silent Gliss motorised roller blinds run virtually silently, can stop part-way at set points, and have a built-in safety stop if anything interrupts the movement. A battery-operated version, the SG 4955, gives wireless shading at the push of a button. See electric roller blinds and battery roller blinds.

Choose fabrics with a low solar transmission (Ts) value and a high solar reflectance (Rs) value; metallised fabrics with an aluminium backing reflect much more heat. Double-layer zebra blinds and timber blinds with thick wooden slats also help keep heat out, and outdoor blinds shade balconies and patios from the sun. Dim-out blinds are made for total room darkening, which suits bedrooms, AV and conference rooms and medical areas, and they can be fitted inside or outside the window recess. Zebra blinds are double-layered blinds made of alternating horizontal stripes of solid and sheer fabric. The double layer acts as an extra barrier against heat. See Zebra Blinds and our guide Zebra blinds or roller blinds: which suits a Malaysian condo?.

Roman blinds soften light rather than block it fully, as their fabric does not filter light as strongly as other blind systems. For day and night in one, Promolink's two-layer system pairs a sheer layer for the day with a Roman blind for the night. See Roman Blinds.

Pleated blinds are made for unusual window shapes, including round and triangular windows, and Silent Gliss pleated systems also come for inclined and ceiling windows. Timber blinds are made of real wood: they give privacy, keep sunlight out and add warmth to rooms with wooden floors and furniture. Their thick slats also insulate against the heat outside all year round. See Timber Blinds.

Yes. Promolink makes outdoor roller blinds, which give maximum shading with minimal window obstruction, and outdoor wooden blinds in wood and bamboo for balconies, patios, gazebos and backyards. Yes. The Silent Gliss collection includes acoustic fabrics whose sound absorption is measured to DIN EN ISO 354 and given as an αw value from 0 (none) to 1 (complete). Yes. Silent Gliss antibacterial fabrics stop bacteria from multiplying and can be washed at up to 72 degrees, which suits healthcare settings, and antifungal fabrics are available too. Silent Gliss cubicle and room divider tracks are made for multi-bed hospital wards and also work in operating rooms, spas, changing rooms and offices. Yes. All Silent Gliss fabrics in The Collection are certified flame retardant (FR), to standards that include BS 5867, NFPA 701, EN 13501 and DIN 4102-1. See Flame retardancy.

Yes. Silent Gliss Newlifescreen/Alu fabrics are made entirely from recycled PET bottles, and Colorama Eco is woven from pre-production waste.
